See AI traffic in GA4

Visitors already arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini — GA4 just buries them under “Referral”. Two minutes to give them their own channel.

1 · The regex (copy this)
chatgpt\.com|chat\.openai\.com|perplexity\.ai|gemini\.google\.com|copilot\.microsoft\.com|claude\.ai|grok\.com|x\.ai|meta\.ai|you\.com

Click the box to copy. Covers: chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, perplexity.ai, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com, claude.ai, grok.com, x.ai, meta.ai, you.com.

2 · Create the channel group
GA4 → Admin → Data display → Channel groups → create a copy of the default group → Add new channel:
· Name it AI / LLM
· Condition: Source matches regex → paste the regex above
· Drag the channel above “Referral” (order matters — first match wins), save.
3 · What you'll see

Reports → Acquisition → Traffic acquisition now shows an “AI / LLM” channel. That number is why AI visibility is worth tracking — and it only counts the clicks, not the recommendations that never needed one.

This tool shows a snapshot. Asheard shows the movie.

Track whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI actually recommend you — daily, per city, against competitors.
